Gumbo Festival 2008
will be held on the weekend of October 10th, 11th and 12th. in
Bridge City, Louisiana…”The Gumbo Capital of the world”.
Booths are available for the sale/display/demonstration of arts and crafts items and certain
other merchandise and services.  Only non-profit organizations that can provide proof of
non-profit status are allowed to operate games.

There are some items that are handled exclusively by the Gumbo Festival.  Among these are drinks,
photographs and raffles. 
This list is subject to change.  The sale of "silly string" and "color ribbon"
is prohibited. 
 We also do not allow the sale of anything that could be considered a weapon or mistaken
as a weapon, such as lasers, knives, toy guns, etc.  In the past we have had a few problems with items
such as lighters with switchblades concealed in them.  The sale of such items is a violation of our
contract and you will be asked to close up and leave the grounds with no refund.

Vendors must comply with all requirements imposed on festival visitors.  Therefore, you are informed that
no ice chests are allowed on the festival grounds.
  We expect you to patronize our drink stands and food
booths while you are participating in our festival.

Ready-made booths are 10' wide X 8' deep and covered.  (See sketch enclosed)  Spaces in our open area start
at 10' X 20'.  Normal electrical needs up to 20 amps are provided for you.  Special electrical needs will be
provided for a nominal fee to be determined by our electrician. 
Security is provided for the duration of the festival.  Rental is a follows:

Arts & Crafts, Games, Novelties, Promotions, etc.:

·        $100.00 per booth (10' x 8')

·        Spaces in the open area start at $200.00 (See application form)

Food:

· Requires minimum $1,000,000 liability insurance

· Rental fee per space is $600.00

Booths and open area spaces are limited and are rented on a first-come/first-served basis.  Each rental is
subject to the approval of the committee.  To apply for the space, please state your intention by mailing the
application attached with the 
Hold Harmless Agreement and your check made payable to:
The Bridge City Gumbo Festival.

The Gumbo Festival entertains thousands of visitors each year at this event and is known the world over
