BAPTISM

We are excited to welcome your child into the faith through Baptism. Infant Baptisms are held one Sunday monthly. To schedule a Baptism fill out the below form:        BAPTISM FORMxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx(link)

 In addition, we will need the child’s birth certificate. This can be a scan or photo emailed to parishoffice@hgaparish.org

Typically Baptisms are performed with others in a group format though a private Baptism may be requested. Baptisms are only the Rite of Baptism and are not a full Mass. The ceremony will last about 45 minutes.

Baptism Preparation Classes

If this is your first child you will need to attend Baptism Preparation class. Classes are held in the Parish Center

(St. Barbara location) in both English and Spanish monthly. 

Godparents

You should choose a godparent or godparents who will support you in raising your child in a life of faith. At least one godparent must be a Catholic over the age of 16 who has received the sacrament of Confirmation. If a godparent isn’t able to be present at the ceremony, you may have a proxy stand in for him or her.
